Yes—it’s a trailer. And yes—it’s entered through a bathroom. Not what most clients would want, but this was for a person with multiple chemical sensitivity who needed a safe, mobile residence with a shower at the entry, and when space is limited that means everything plumbing related apart from the kitchen fixtures and appliances.

In addition to having a shower entry (which we carefully made welcoming with a greenhouse and handmade tile), this home is completely low-VOC and low-toxin, with solid white oak cabinetry and flooring, specially sourced bio-friendly finishes, and a zero-exhaust wood pellet stove with custom matching plinth. A complex custom project with high cost per sf and strict specifications, designed within an inch of its life to be road worthy and durable: worth every penny to a client whose tiny mobile home is her forever home.

Will we do another tiny home? Hmmm… nothing’s impossible.

Are we proud that we helped our client (an author) set out on her way to a happy, healthy life? 100%.
